First, we look around
We spend about a week in your business and come back with a short, honest list: here's where AI would actually save you time, and here's what it'd take to build. If there's nothing worth doing, we'll say so.
Then we build it
We build the thing, wire it into the tools you already use, and sit with your team until they can run it without us. You own everything we make.
Then we stick around
Software needs looking after. If it's earning its keep, we stay on to keep it running and growing. If it isn't, we don't.
What I won't do.
- Build something I don't believe will earn its keep. If a week in your business turns up nothing worth doing, I'll say so and you'll only pay for that week.
- Use jargon to pad an invoice. If I can't explain what I'm building in plain English, I shouldn't be building it.
- Lock you into a retainer. Everything I build is yours. You can run it without me from day one.
- Tell you AI is magic. It isn't. It's a tool. Most of the work is figuring out where it actually helps.

What does Khirad Labs actually do?
We're an AI development company. We build AI products of our own, and we build AI into small businesses: finding where it genuinely helps, building it, connecting it to the tools you already use, and training your team to run it without us.
How is this different from hiring a regular consultant?
Most consultants hand you a slide deck of recommendations. We're engineers, so we hand you something that's already running. You're not paying a markup on a tool someone reskinned and resold.
Do I need to be technical to work with you?
No. We talk in hours saved and headaches removed, not embeddings and agents. We set everything up and leave your team able to run it.
Is my business data safe?
We set clear limits on what the AI can see and touch, so it helps without quietly creating a risk you'll regret. Careful data handling is built into how we work.
How quickly will I see results?
We start with about a week of looking at your business, then build the first useful thing. Most people start with one small project and grow from there once it's earning its keep.

Khirad Labs is a remote-first AI development company working with small businesses across the United States.

Every project is fixed-scope and fixed-price. No hourly meter. We give you an exact number before any building starts, after a short paid assessment of where AI helps most.

I'm Faraz. I started Khirad Labs because I kept seeing the same thing: small businesses know AI could help, but the path from "curious" to "actually using it well" is a mess. I wanted to do that work for them. Figure out what to automate, what to leave alone, and build it so it doesn't fall over.
Before this, I spent 25+ years building software. Three continents, a Fortune 10 company, time in Silicon Valley, and every part of the lifecycle: from design to shipping to keeping things running.
Khirad (خرد) is the Persian word for wisdom. I picked it on purpose. The tools are everywhere now. Good judgment about how to use them is the rare part.
